Hey guys
I love black. It makes me feel more confident, beautiful and powerful. I think it looks great on everyone!
Even-though people keep complaining that black isn't a colour, well, I don't really care.
Halloween time is approaching, and I'm getting more and more inspired. I couldn't resist creating this makeup look with black lips and black smoky eye. I wish I was brave enough to wear this outside. At least I feel confident enough to post this on my blog.
As I've said many times before, it's not about creating wearable makeup looks. Makeup is a form of art, and you're allowed to express your inspiration on your body and face. :)
MAKEUP:
- I used a matte foundation and concealed all of my lovely blemishes.
- I bronzed up my skin and lightly contoured. It gives my face more shape.
- I used a black eyeliner (L'oreal) as a base, all over my eyelid. On top of that, I applied matte black eyeshadow (ArtDeco).
- I applied the same black eyeliner and eyeshadow to my lower lashline and waterline.
- I used my Essence mascara on my top and bottom lashes.
- I have 3 lipstick options:
nude lips (Absolutely nothing on my lips, I just ran my powder brush with a bit of setting powder over them)
dark vampy red lipstick
black lips: I applied dark red lipstick as a base, and on top of that I used matte black eyeshadow.
- I defined my eyebrows more, and filled them in with a darker shade. (Catrice single eyeshadow in Starlight Expresso mixed with matte black eyeshadow).
